Subaru's First 3 Row SUV

2019 Subaru Ascent

Subaru made a splash at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November when it debuted the Ascent, its first three-row SUV since the Tribeca was discontinued in 2014. If you're a Subaru fan and you've been wishing for a larger vehicle, here's what you can expect when the 2019 Subaru Ascent arrives at Van Subaru.

Touted as our largest and most comfortable vehicle to date, the Ascent will offer seating for up to eight, a standard four-cylinder engine, and a host of high-tech safety, entertainment, and comfort offerings. The exterior of the Ascent cements its reputation as an older sibling to the iconic Outback wagon, adding stylish touches like your choice of 18- or 20-inch alloy wheels. Standard roof rack rails make this the ideal SUV for adventurous families.

Inside, 60/40 split-folding seats in both the second and third rows provide one of the most versatile designs among comparable vehicles. Every trim includes a 6.5-inch or larger touchscreen infotainment system equipped with seamless smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Ascent also includes a minimum of four and up to eight USB ports.

State-of-the-art driver assistance tech is standard on every Ascent. Subaru's EyeSight package comprises adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, and sway control, as well as a head-up display that integrates these technologies. You can also upgrade for additional systems, such as rear cross-traffic alert, reverse automatic braking, automatic high beams, blind spot monitoring, a 180-degree camera, and steering-responsive headlights.

Under the hood, you'll find a brand-new turbo-four engine that provides 260 horses, paired with an eight-speed continuously variable transmission. Although it operates like an automatic, it can also be controlled with paddle shifters. All-wheel drive is standard on all trims of the Ascent. You'll have 8.7 inches of ground clearance for off-roading prowess, along with the ability to tow up to 5,000 pounds. Although fuel economy estimates have not yet been released, expect the Ascent to be class-competitive in this area.

Visit the Van Subaru showroom in the summer of 2018 to get behind the wheel of the all-new three-row 2019 Subaru Ascent. In the meantime, feel free to stop by to chat about this or any one of our other outstanding vehicles.
