Google Expeditions is a virtual reality field trip program that was first introduced this past May. It gives teachers the ability to engage their students in a unique new way, by taking them on virtual field trips to outer space, museums and continents they might otherwise not have a chance to visit in person during their youth. It’s a great supplementary learning experience that helps enrich the education of students and give then a stronger understanding of the world outside of the classroom.

Subaru recently announced that it’s partnering with the Google Expeditions Pioneer Program to help bring kits to schools in several U.S. states and countries abroad. As the official vehicle provider of the program, Subarus will be used to drop off kits containing tablets for teachers and Cardboard viewers and phones for students, the items needed to use Google Expeditions.

In addition, Subaru is excited to lend a hand in creating Expeditions that explore topics the automaker and its customers are interested in, such as National Park exploration and zero-landfill manufacturing. For more information about Google Expeditions, click here to visit the official website.
