New Subaru Crosstrek and WRX Earn Top Safety Award

When it comes to safety, the new Subaru Crosstrek and WRX have their bases covered. Both vehicles recently received the 2017 Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) when fitted with available EyeSight Driver Assist Technology.

On top of the above award, the vehicles also earned the 2017 Top Safety Pick+ award when equipped with LED Steering Responsive Headlights and EyeSight technology. The accolades highlight Subaru’s commitment to producing top-rated vehicles that feature state-of-the-art safety systems.

“Subaru is committed to developing the highest safety standards for our vehicles,” said Thomas J. Doll, president and chief operating officer, Subaru of America, Inc. “Receiving the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award for all our 2018 models equipped with EyeSight and LED Steering Responsive Headlights proves this commitment to our customers.”

Subaru is no stranger to winning these prestigious awards either. The new Impreza, Outback and Legacy have also been designated as Top Safety Pick+ vehicles.

Standard, the new Crosstrek and WRX are outfitted with a wide range of safety features, including high-quality airbags, antilock brakes and seatbelt pretensioners. Driver-assist technologies like forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking and rear cross-traffic alert are also offered across the lineup.
