Subaru Vehicle Service Warning Indicators
We'll help you easily understand ten dashboard indicator lights commonly found in your car. These tell you about various issues with your vehicle. Never ignore these lights. You'll drive safer, and your car will be healthier.
Airbag Fault
Your airbags are part of your secondary restraint system. The SRS also includes your seat belts. This indicator warns of a problem within your SRS. For your safety during a crash, it needs immediate repair.
Low Fuel Level Warning Light
You'll get this light when your fuel level becomes low. This indicator's level varies by model, so check your owner's manual to determine the amount of gas you have left when its light engages. Stop for gas as soon as possible.
Oil Pressure Warning Light
Low oil pressure is a serious problem. When you see this light, check your oil level. If you do not need to add oil, then a problem exists within your car's oil system. We can repair that problem.
Service Vehicle Soon
You will see this light when you reach the mileage indicated by your manufacturer for an oil change. At our dealership, we perform oil changes, and we provide all maintenance that corresponds to your current odometer reading.
TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)
This system informs you when your tires lack sufficient air pressure for safe operation. When your TPMS light activates, check your tires, and add air appropriately. Should you find no need to add air, then your TPMS sensors likely need replacement. We service these sensors.
Slip Indicator
Slippage on wet or icy roads engages your traction system. This light will glow simultaneously. If you see this light during a high-traction situation, your traction components likely need service.
Charging System Warning Light
Your charging system includes your battery, alternator, and related components. The indicator usually has a battery's shape on it. In actuality, this warning often indicates a worn-out alternator. We can service any charging system issue.
Brake System
Anti-lock braking systems are complex, and this indicator lets you know when you have a problem within that system. Your brakes will work at a diminished level until you bring your car in for service. For your safety, do not delay.
Open Door Warning Light
With your car's power activated, an open door will engage this light. In hatchbacks, this indicator also applies to the trunk door. Secure all open doors before continuing your trip.
Coolant Level Warning
Coolant keeps internal combustion engines running in their appropriate temperature ranges. Low coolant causes high temperatures and engine damage. Avoid expensive engine repairs by immediately addressing your coolant system trouble.
