What's New for the 2020 Subaru Accent?

As a new member of the Subaru family in 2019, the Ascent turned heads with its debut as a 7-8 passenger SUV. It is the largest Subaru SUV ever. With all-wheel drive and creature comforts, the Ascent has shown itself to combine performance with comfort. For 2020, Subaru has added a remote lock to the rear power gate and mirror-mounted turn signals. For additional convenience, interior lights can be activated or deactivated by one touch. An innovated rear seat reminder is also new. It will alert the driver if packages or passengers have been left in the rear seats.

Starlink can be integrated with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Up to eight USB ports can be found throughout the Ascent.

The Premium edition adds the choice of second-row captain chairs. The captain chairs provide both second-row comfort and easy access to the third row. For additional comfort, the Premium edition also provides heated seats and rear climate control. 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot connections are available. The Limited edition offers keyless entry, larger 20" alloy wheels, and an all-season package. Leather seat trim accentuates the Limited package.

The top of the line Touring package adds a premium Harman Kardon audio system that produces more than 700 watts. Second-row captain chairs and a 180-degree front-view camera come standard with this edition. The best feature may be the 54" power moon roof that lets in light or cool night air. It provides a beautiful panoramic view of the countryside for passengers.

2020 Subaru Ascent Horsepower Features

Specifically designed to distribute weight lower to the ground, the BOXER configuration allows for more stable handling. With the equipped turbocharger, the Ascent provides up to 260 hp and 277 pound-feet of torque. This power gives the Ascent up 5000 lbs of towing capacity. The towing capacity allows for hauling motorbikes or a camper. Despite the additional power, the Ascent can travel up to 500 miles on a tank of gas.

The Subaru Ascent Safety Features

The frame is constructed of high strength steel for both safety and quietness of ride. The XMODE handling feature offers automatic hill descent control for steep declines.
