What's New For the 2020 Subaru Outback?

In 2020, the Subaru Outback is at its best yet. The Outback has traditionally been one of the most popular Subaru cars. This year, it gets even better. For 2020, the Outback gets an all-new design that gives it a more stylish exterior and a savvy cabin. Many positive changes are in store for the latest Outback, including a much larger 11.6-inch infotainment system. There are also two new engines available for the Outback.

This Outback is part of the sixth generation. Although it has many new and notable features, it also carries over with some classic features that consumers have come to expect (and love) in their Outbacks. This includes an exceptionally spacious cabin with comfortable seats and plenty of creature comforts. The latest Outback also has an available turbocharged engine that provides a substantial boost of power. A lower loading height makes it easier to store belongings on the Outback roof or put them in the trunk than with many SUVs. Along with all its many family-friendly features, the latest Outback proves it's ready to play in the dirt with exceptional off-road handling and capabilities.

What are the Subaru Outback Trims & Features?

There are seven trim levels available in the 2020 Subaru Outback collection. The base model, which is simply called the "Outback," features the Starlink multimedia system and split-folding seats. Cloth seats are standard in the base trim. The base trim features automatic lights and an electronic parking brake for safety and convenience. If you need to keep devices charged on the road, dual USB charging ports make it happen. The Outback has eight cup holders throughout its cabin, giving everyone plenty of space to put their beverages. The cargo area has plenty of space to store your belongings and cargo tie-downs. Extra storage areas make it easier to bring your belongings for the ride.

The second trim, Premium, adds dual climate control and heated seats for year-round comfort. A leather-wrapped steering wheel makes the Outback feel a bit more luxurious. Leather seats come standard on the third trim level and higher. It also gets keyless access and a hands-free power-operated liftgate. An auto-dimming mirror is another standard feature. Starting with this trim level, you'll also upgrade to a premium Harman Kardon sound system. The Touring comes standard with a tilt-slide sunroof. This trim level comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels. The Onyx Edition gets all the above and water-repellent seating material. An 11.6-inch infotainment screen with navigation is available. The Limited XT features leather-trimmed upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and a driver's seat with memory.

Raw Power and Stellar Performance

2020 Subaru OutbackAll trim levels of the 2020 Outback are powered by a signature Subaru boxer engine. This engine, which has 260 HP and produces 277 LB-FT of torque, gives the Outback a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. Symmetrical all-wheel drive gives the Outback additional traction on questionable road surfaces. This gives you peace of mind because you will have a smoother ride in case you find yourself in these situations. The 2020 Outback is a step forward in performance and dynamics.

2020 Subaru OutbackThe Subaru Outback comes equipped with innovative driver-assist technology called EyeSight.
