One of the most challenging rallies in America, the Sno*Drift competition held in northern Michigan features more than 120 miles of roads covered in ice and snow. Spiked and studded ice tires aren’t allowed, so competing vehicles must rely on super grippy tires, and in Subaru’s case advanced Symmetrical All Wheel Drive is also incredibly helpful.
At the recent Sno*Drift rally, a specially prepped 2015 Subaru WRX STI dominated the race, winning in all 17 stages of the competition. Also, the event’s top five winning positions were locked in by Subaru vehicles only - no other brand. The grand prize winning STI was driven by Subaru Rally Team USA member David Higgins, who took on the rally’s snow-covered roads with confidence behind the wheel of the STI.
