Tech-thirsty drivers should be able to get their fill in the app-packed 2017 Subaru Impreza. Subaru has outfitted the sporty, bestseller with eight new cloud-based apps, which include Magellan NAVI, eBird, Best Parking, YELP, Glympse, RightTrack, Tweddle Quick Reference Guide and “eventseeker” by Wcities. The sought-after apps work through the Subaru’s STARLINK multimedia system and in conjunction with a smartphone.

  1. Free for three years, the Magelllan Navi helps drivers navigate roadways by providing up-to-date directions, maps and routing services.
  2. Birdwatchers will love the eBird app; it can direct you to bird sightings with the press of a button. The app uses a database that houses millions of bird sightings to help you find birds in real time all across the U.S.
  3. Make your parking woes a thing of the past with the Best Parking app. It helps drivers find short- and long-term parking spots in 105 cities and 115 airports throughout the USA.
  4. Next up is the ultra-popular Yelp app, which provides information on restaurants, shops and various other businesses.
  5. Glympse lets drivers share information about their location, destination and estimated time of arrival with family and friends in real time.
  6. The RightTrack Test Drive app offers advice on how to improve driving to reduce insurance premiums.
  7. The Quick Reference Guide is an electronic version of quick reference guides that are in all new Subarus.
  8. Finally, “eventseeker,” as its name suggests, helps customers learn about events going on in their areas.
