Subaru earned high marks in several categories such as safety and dependability. With a score of 85%, the company not only led all automakers in the survey but also improved its overall result by 2% compared to 2024.
What is the ACSI Study?
The ACSI Study has measured customer satisfaction for more than 25 years across various industries, including the automotive sector. Each year, around 200,000 consumer responses are gathered to help determine the results. The automobile portion of the study evaluates over 100 areas of advanced vehicle technology and only includes feedback from owners who have had their vehicles for at least 90 days. Using a 100-point scale, the survey ranks nearly 40 mass-market car brands annually.
Subaru’s 2025 Accomplishments
In the 2025 study, Subaru once again proved itself as a top performer in the auto industry. Strong scores across several key categories helped the company earn the highest overall ranking among all automakers.
This year, Subaru ranked first in Vehicle Safety, Product Quality, Overall Product and Service Quality, Perceived Value, Dependability, and Driving Performance. Safety has long been a strength for Subaru, and 2025 marks the sixth straight year it led the category. It also secured its fifth consecutive recognition for Product Quality and its third in a row for both Overall Product and Service Quality and Perceived Value.
