What's New for the 2019 Subaru WRX?

New car buyers will be excited about the 2019 Subaru WRX. The Base and Premium have traditional ignitions. There is a push-button start engine option on the Limited edition. Aluminum alloy metal petals compliment the interior. These are available on every trim of the WRX. The power moon-roof comes on the Premium and Limited trim levels. There's an option for LED interior lighting and HomeLink control to manage up to three garage door openers. Two tech displays show information during the vehicle's travels. The Base trim features a 6.5 in touch display. The Premium has a 7-inch screen. All Subaru vehicles come with Android Auto and Apple Carplay.

The brakes are 12.4-inch rotors up front with dual-piston calipers. The back features 11.3 inch rear rotors with single-piston calipers. The performance package has high-performance front brake pads, along with a moon-roof for some weight savings and Recaro front seats.

The suspension is sporting a 4-wheel independent suspension system, which is standard on all WRX trim levels. The steering on the new Subaru WRX is highly responsive.

The 2019 Subaru WRX Lineup has Ample Interior Features

Up front are halogen headlights with clear lenses on the Base or Premium trim levels. The Premium trim features halogen fog lights below as well. However, the Limited edition offers dark headlight surroundings, along with LED steering responsive headlights and led fog lights just below. The responsive headlights come on when they sense that it is dark outside. There is a functional hood scoop on the WRX, which helps keep the engine cool.

All trim levels have heated side mirrors. The Limited features integrated turn signals on the side mirrors. The wheels are 17 by 8-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels on the Base trim. The Premium and Limited feature 18 by 8 and 1/2 in double 5 spoke alloys. The rear spoiler comes with every single trim level on a 2018 Subaru WRX. The integrated rear diffuser sits alongside the dual exhaust system showcasing stainless steel exhaust tips.

Cargo capacity is an even 12 cubic feet. The rear seats fold forward allowing for even more storage capacity. Rear legroom comes in at 35.4 in. Rear passengers have a center armrest with cup holders. This is available on all trim levels of a Subaru WRX. There are manually adjustable seats for the Base and Premium trim levels in the front. The Limited features a 10 Way power adjustable driver seat and a manually adjustable passenger seat. There is a leather-wrapped tilt and telescoping steering wheel for every trim level.

What's Under the Hood of the WRX?

2019 Subaru WRXThe new Subaru is powered by a 2L turbocharged Subaru boxer engine, which puts out 268 horsepower at 5600 RPM. There is also 258 pound-feet of torque available. The car rides on its traditional all-wheel-drive system. The Subaru Premium is a 6-speed manual. However, there is an optional Lineartronic CVT with paddle shifters. The Subaru gets 21 miles per gallon in the city and 27 on the highway.
