It’s not often that we see straight As when checking out Cars.com’s Car Seat reports, but the 2015 Subaru Forester stood out to the website’s editors for several reasons and earned top scores in all categories of the assessment!
The Cars.com report says that parents will find the SUV easy to work with when it comes to installing several types of child-safety seats, including Latch, Infant, Rear-facing convertible, Forward-facing convertible and Booster seats. Forester earned As for ease of installation with each of these seat types, and factors like how much room there was for the seat and how the installed seats affect drivers and front passengers were also considered. Of course, in these areas the Forester excelled too, providing a spacious area for child-safety seats and producing no issues that affected the comfort of those in the front row.
Jennifer Newman and Jennifer Geiger, two of Cars.com’s editors, are child-safety seat installation technicians and both were impressed by the Forester. According to the duo, a couple highlights of the SUV include the fact that they didn’t have to move the front-passenger seat forward to fit in the rear-facing infant or convertible seats. Also, they didn’t have any issues placing the high-back booster inside the cabin. In addition, they noted that there are several easy-to-use lower latch and tether anchors. By the way, the SUV was adjusted for a 6-foot driver and 5-foot-8 passenger.
So there you have it, if you’ve been looking for a family SUV that offers ease of use when it comes to child-safety seats, the 2015 Subaru Forester should be at the top of your consideration list.
