2021 Subaru Legacy Exterior

What's New For the 2021 Subaru Legacy?

After receiving a full redesign last year, the Legacy returns for 2021 with a few critical updates. Subaru's popular LED Steering Responsive Headlights are now standard. Rear Seat Reminder has arrived as well, which keeps parents aware of children and pets sitting in the back.

Which Features Are Available for 2021?

Subaru offers the new Legacy in six trims: base, Premium, Sport, Limited, Limited XT, and Touring XT. The base model provides many great features for the money. Subaru's Starlink interface is among the highest-rated in the class, which provides a standard 7.0-inch touchscreen with full smartphone support. Satellite radio and two USB ports are also found on the base Legacy.

Even more, amenities come equipped on the Premium trim, including heated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control. You'll also notice its stunning 11.6-inch HD touchscreen.

The Legacy Sport brings a sportier look. Exclusive exterior treatments include a sleek rear spoiler and 18-inch black wheels. Subaru also adds an SI-Drive engine management system for enhanced performance. Red interior stitching helps give the cabin a more exciting feel.

Drivers seeking more luxury will be interested in the leather-lined Limited trim. Heated rear seats and a more powerful Harman Kardon premium sound system come standard. Although the XT Limited trim is similar, it raises the performance bar with a stronger turbocharged engine.

Atop the Legacy range sits the XT Touring trim. Nappa leather upholstery and ventilated front seats give its cabin an especially upscale feel.

Featuring Great Performance

The Legacy's standard Boxer four-cylinder engine is a practical choice. It develops a satisfying 182 horsepower while returning up to 35 mpg. Drivers seeking more performance can upgrade to a turbocharged Boxer four-cylinder engine, which kicks out 260 horsepower. All trims come equipped with Subaru's excellent Symmetrical AWD system and a continuously variable automatic transmission.

Subaru Legacy Safety Features

Very few cars in the segment can match the Legacy's level of impact protection. EyeSight driver-assist safety technologies also come standard, including automatic emergency braking and lane centering. Blind-spot monitoring is offered on most trims.
