2022 Subaru Outback

What's New for the 2022 Subaru Outback?

For the 2022 model year, the Subaru Outback gets more ground clearance, more power, and an expanded trim lineup. The Outback was already a class leader with 8.7 inches of ground clearance, but you can now get up to 9.5 inches of ground clearance with the new Wilderness Edition trim level. The Subaru Outback is also now available with a turbo engine that generates more power than before. The lineup welcomes a new trim called the Wilderness Edition, which brings a more rugged and distinctive exterior to the line, along with new interior features and a stronger turbo engine.

2022 Outback Trims & Features

Along with the same lineup from 2021, you now have the option of getting a new trim called the Wilderness Edition, which is the sportiest version of the Outback yet. The 2022 Outback trim lineup starts with the base trim, which is called the Outback. The Outback seats five people and comes with standard all-wheel drive. Its basic technology includes a user-friendly infotainment display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The base trim gets LED steering-responsive lighting on the outside and raised roof rails that have tie-down points and integrated cross rails. The Premium trim follows with a larger 11.6-inch touchscreen. This trim also adds a 10-way adjustable driver's seat and heated front seats. Dual-zone climate control is another notable addition, and the trim gets LED fog lights on the outside. The Limited trim has leather-trimmed seating on the inside and push-button ignition. It also upgrades to a Harman Kardon sound system with 12 speakers. The Limited gets larger 18-inch wheels with an alloy finish as well. The Touring gets a power moonroof, more safety technology, and navigation. Its seating material is upgraded to Nappa leather. The Onyx Edition is equipped with a stronger engine and 18-inch wheels. The Wilderness Edition, new this year, has distinguished bumpers, more ground clearance, and a turbo engine.
