What's New for the 2026 Subaru Impreza?
For the 2026 model year, Subaru has dropped the base Impreza trim. To refresh the lineup, a new Citron Yellow Pearl exterior color is now offered.
What Are the 2026 Impreza Trims & Features?
The 2026 Subaru Impreza is available in two trims: the Sport and the RS.
The Sport trim features a sport-tuned suspension that provides responsive handling for daily driving. It also includes a well-rounded list of amenities, such as Subaru's intuitive multimedia system with an 11.6-inch HD touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. Inside, sport cloth seats with red contrast stitching add a vibrant touch to the interior. Other conveniences include push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot.
The RS trim expands on the Sport model with a stronger engine and several premium upgrades. Standard features include heated front seats, a wireless charging pad, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Optional additions such as a 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and a power-adjustable driver's seat allow you to enhance the RS even further.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2026 Impreza Have?
The Impreza Sport is powered by a 2.0-liter Boxer four-cylinder engine that generates 152 horsepower, offering confident and smooth performance. Its Lineartronic continuously variable transmission helps maintain excellent efficiency.
For drivers who want quicker acceleration, the Impreza RS features a 2.5-liter Boxer four-cylinder engine producing 180 horsepower. Both trims come standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive for dependable traction, while Active Torque Vectoring enhances the hatchback's agile and engaging handling.
What Safety Features Does the 2026 Impreza Include?
All 2026 Impreza models come equipped with Subaru's EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. Pre-Collision Braking helps reduce or avoid frontal impacts, while Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering makes longer drives more comfortable.
